THE LANAI
This ocean front dining area is cozy yet chic with stunning views of the Caribbean Sea.
THE TREE HOUSE
The Tree House is an opened air pavilion featuring four romantically lit, magnificent and magical Casuarina trees
growing out of the floor and through the roof!
THE GAZEBO
The gazebo offers a serene setting for enjoying exquisite cuisine while taking in the unparalleled views of the scenic platinum coast.
THE AIR CONDITIONED DINING AREA
The restaurant also features an air conditioned gazebo, which sits on two levels allowing all tables to get that wonderful sight and feel of the ocean while being simultaneously cooled by air-condition.
COCKTAIL LOUNGE & BAR
The air-conditioned lounge with its classic window seats and walls filled with colourful Caribbean art is the ideal spot to either relax and enjoy a drink before a delectable meal at The Tides Restaurant or simply to celebrate the weekend with one of Chris’ tempting creative concoctions!

Director
Ramona Alleyne
Ramona Alleyne is one of a kind, as our Director, it is often mentioned by guests how special they are made to feel by Ramona. Her level of efficiency and accuracy, attention to detail, organization and customer service skills are simply excellent.
Ramona joined The Tides team in 2013 as a Receptionist, was then promoted to Head Reservationists in 2014, Operations Manager in 2022 and finally Director on 2024.
Assistant General Manager
Lorraine Bruce
Lorraine has been with the “The Tides Restaurant” for over 15 years and has progressed throughout the years from a very junior position to that of Asst. General Manager.
She has a long and progressive career in the hospitality industry working at establishments such as the Pineapple Beach Club, Almond Beach, Crystal Cove and the Courtyard by Marriott.
Lorraine received her training at the Barbados Community College and Barbados Hotel School.
Assistant Restaurant Manager
Stephen Griffith
At the young age of 18 years old Stephen, proved himself to be an exemplary waiter at The Carambola Restaurant which was a 5 star restaurant from 1995 to 2005. He again demonstrated his capabilities as an outstanding waiter at The Tides Restaurant from 2005 to 2007.
It was not long before Stephen had shown such promising potential, that he was promoted as The Restaurant Assistant Manager where he proved to be an added asset to the management team.
Stephen has showcased his passion for maintaining outstanding service standards. It is obvious that the personal standards Stephen has for himself are transferred in the execution of his duties as an Assistant Restaurant Manager at The Tides Restaurant.
Reservations Manager
Deidre Corbin
Deidre joined the Tides Team in 2015 as a Relief Hostess and then migrated to the role of Relief Reservationist in 2017.
An Administrative Assistant by profession with over 20+ years’ experience, she has become a valuable
asset to the Reservations Department. As a committed team player, Deidre’s knowledge, efficiency and attention to detail has proved beneficial in assisting with the smooth running of the department. Guests’ satisfaction is her number one priority and she aims to please!
In her spare time, she enjoys spending quality moments with her family especially her young daughter Nylah.
General Manager
Jimion Yarde
Jimion is an experienced professional having worked at Carambola Restaurant, Escape Hotel. The Restaurant at Southseas, Barbados. He was also the Senior Restaurant Director at the prestigious AAA 5 Diamond Resort - Sandy Lane Hotel - Barbados managing all of their 5 restaurants and 6 bars. He recently returned to Barbados from Exuma, Bahamas where he was the Food & Beverage Manager for
Grand Isle Resort & Spa.
We are thrilled to have Jimion join The Tides team and confident that he will prove himself as before as an outstanding leader.
Assistant Restaurant Manager
Mark Brathwaite
Mark Brathwaite’s career began in gardening at Carambola, where he fell in love with the hospitality industry and soon joined the service team. There, he learned the skills necessary to do the job and to understand what customer service is all about.
After a nine year run, Mark was asked to be a part of the management team at Mullins Beach Bar and from there he went to Josef's in St.Lawrence Gap before managing GateZero Bar at the Grantley Adam's International Airport.
He was then offered the post of Floor Supervisor at The Cliff ,where he spent ten years. At present, he is Assistant Restaurant Manager at The Tides where service excellence is his main goal!
Bar Manager
Chris Wells
Chris is a young but very advanced individual.
He commenced his career at Coral Reef Hotel and joined The Tides Restaurant in 2005. After working at The Tides for just a year he took his chance to develop and advance his managerial and bar skills by attending the Barbados Community College Pomarine Institution.
After passing the course as an A+ student it was back to business. Never keeping his knowledge to himself he developed a bar team for The Tides like no other. His team is best known as alert, welcoming, on point and consistent!
